The Dance

The zeal of God consumes His people.
Floods of living water erupt from within.
He has set them free.
He has destroyed their enemies.
Fear has no place within them.
They desire only His Presence, to behold His glory.

They intently worship Him.
Their praises roar forth.
God rises up within them.
They can hardly contain themselves.
So much love, so much appreciation.
Their spirits are exploding inside them.
They can't contain the anointing any longer!
It must find an outlet.
What can they do? How can they continue?
How can they express what is happening?
They must find a way! They must find a way!

God hears their cry.
God answers their prayers.
God sees the hearts of His people.
His hand reaches out to them.
He touches their feet. What is this?
He touches their legs. What is God doing?
He touches their arms and their hands.
A wave of strength runs through their bodies.
His hand gently touches them on the face.
Their expressions begin to shine.
Their faces radiate His light.
Passion begins to burn throughout their souls.
Suddenly their feet begin to move;
Their arms begin to maneuver;
Their hands rise up in power.
What is happening? What is the Lord doing?
Then God utters His voice.
A command echoes over all His creation.
Dance! Dance, my children! Dance before me!
DANCE! DANCE! DANCE!

The praise ignites.
Thanksgiving rises to the Lord.
Now they have release.
Now they have expression.
They run; they leap; they twirl.
Their feet try to keep pace with their emotion.
Their hands lift up the victory.
They dance before the throne.
They join hands and dance in unity.
The powers of darkness are taken off guard.
Intercession flows from the dance.
Their pounding feet smash the enemy.
They dance in church; they dance at home.
They dance in the morning, and they dance at night.
Yes, they will dance and never stop.
The One who created the dance,
God Himself, dances over them with joy.
He is returning for His people soon.
Then He will join hands with them, and they will dance together.
They will dance together forevermore.
